James Luther ‘Buddy’ Ransom, age 53, of Lumberton passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

He was born on July 29, 1965 in Robeson County. He never met a stranger and he loved to help people that needed it.

A Funeral service will be held Saturday March 30, 2019 at 3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Bishop Earl Chavis and Rev. Horace Locklear officiating.

A visitation will be held Saturday March 30,2019 prior to the service from 2:00PM-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Ransom and Cecil ‘Celie’ Ransom; and two brothers, Windy Ransom and Luther Jr. Ransom.

He is survived by his daughter, Jianna Ransom; three sisters, Linda Faye Ray Ransom, Ronda Kay Ransom, and Lilly May Ransom; two nieces and five nephews.
