Steven M. Barnes was born, December 2, 1988, in Winter Park, Florida. He moved with his family to Raymore, Missouri in 2002. He was a member of Ray-Pec’s class of 2008.
Steven left this life on earth on the evening of March 28, 2019. He had battled leukemia for nine months. He was a warrior beyond measure. He is with his mother, Kimberly Barnes; grandmothers, Bette Cook and Beverley Barnes who preceded him in death.
He was the son of Michael Barnes, Kimberly Cook Barnes and Kathy Barnes. He leaves his brother Tony Knierim (wife Samantha); sisters Jennifer Russel and Stephanie Leimkuehler (Jerimie); his nephews, Travis Russel and Dalton Leimkuehler; niece, Brooke Leimkuehler; he also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandfathers.
Steven had a chosen family of friends which are too numerous to list. He was loved by all who knew him. He left a huge hole in many hearts.
A Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.
Family requests that everyone wears sports gear or hunting gear. Cardinal fans will be seated last!
