Demko, Mrs. Martha A., Saginaw, Michigan A beautiful life filled with tender grace, compassion and love from a humble heart. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Roch and Sophia (Pasko) Pasterz, Martha was born June 4, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married William Demko on May 21, 1949. He survives her. Martha was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and will be remembered for her selfless giving to family and friends. Surviving besides her husband Bill are twin sons, David Demko, Waterford; Donald Demko, Saginaw; one granddaughter, Alison; several nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by a son, James Demko, grandson, Jamie, and by eight sisters and brothers, Julia Pasterz, Lottie Fogg, Michael Pasterz, Peter Pasterz, Helen Breier, Joseph, Stanley, Frank and Marie Pasterz. Martha's family extends their gratitude and appreciation to her Wellspring personal assistants and caregivers for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral service will take place 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with private entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
