Suffragist. Graduate of the Johns Hopkins University's School of Hygiene and Public Health and working as a physical education teacher in Buffalo. Arrested on July 14, 1917, for picketing the White House and sentenced to 60 days in Occoquan workhouse; she was pardoned after serving 3 days.
