Earl Tackaberry, 54, of 230 Alta Vista Avenue died at home yesterday of a heart ailment. He was born Sept. 20, 1892, at Ottumwa, Ia., the son of William and Martha Tackaberry.

He married Pearl Hicks on Oct. 25, 1912, at Ottumwa and the couple came to Waterloo in 1931. Mr. Tackaberry was a department superintendent of Rath Packing Co.

He was a past master of the Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his widow, as sister, Mrs. Fred Stocker, Ottumwa, Ia.; two daughters, Mrs. Dean Boldt, Dubuque, Ia., and Mrs. Alfred Potter, 219 Highland boulevard, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at First Presbyterian church at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. H. E. Dierenfield officiating. Burial will be a t Memorial Park cemetery with Masonic services conducted there. The body is at Locke funeral home.
