Bill W. Daniel, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Annona, passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview. Bill was born, June 28, 1930, in Boxelder to Leon and Hattie Grubbs Daniel.

He was a retired Game Warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and served as Commander for Region eight. Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart Recipient.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Carpenter and Agnes Richey; and one brother, Jackie Daniel.

Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Garland Cemetery with Rev. John Purviance officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.



Survivors include his wife of sixty three years, Buryldine Harvey Daniel of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Vicki Clifford and husband, Rob of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two grandsons, Grey Clifford and wife, Morgan of Breckenridge, Colorado, and Dan Clifford and wife, Jennifer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two great grandchildren, Aman Clifford and Ruth Clifford; nephew, David Richey; and a niece, Sherry Gavlik.
