William Craig Cummings was born January 4, 1953 in Vinton, the son of William and Faye Baldwin Cummings. He grew up and attended school in Vinton, graduating in 1971.
On October 18, 1986 he married Lori Kisling in Urbana.
Craig earned his CDL certification and drove semi for many years, most recently for Twin Cities Concrete. He retired from driving in 2014.
Craig enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and fixing things. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Craig is survived by his father Bill Cummings; his children, Brett Sorrell, Houstonia, Missouri, Chris Sorrell, Creighton, Missouri, Eric Cummings, Marion, Iowa, Kelli Cummings, Dubuque, Iowa, Danielle Cummings, Vinton, Iowa; sixteen grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and a brother, Jeffrey Cummings, Vinton, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye, in 2019; his wife Lori in 2010; his daughter Sara in 2018; his son Billy in 2018, and his brother, Doug in 2015.
