Llewellyn (sic) Harvey Mobley was born in Ohio, on Sept. 7, 1862. When but two years of age he came with his parents to Richardson county, Nebr., where he lived until 1900, in the fall of which year he came to Jefferson county. In 1917 he moved to Garden City, Kans., with his sons, where he has since resided until Aug. 19, 1919, when he died at the home of his son in Garden City. He died of dropsey.
He was married to Mary Elizabeth Cox in Richardson county, in March 1887. On March 23, 1917, Mrs. Mobley died. Fourteen children were born to them, of whom thirteen are living, one daughter having passed away last September. The children are, Grover Mobley, Garden City, Kans.; Mrs. Dora Sawyer, Seibert, Colo.; Mrs. Henry Nitzel, Fairbury, Nebr.; Lee Mobley, Fairbury; Miss Maud Mobley, Omaha; John Mobley, Ft. Riley, Kans.; Mrs. Annie Hudson, Diller, Nebr.; Nelson Mobley, Ft. Worth, Texas; Ray, George, Richard, Robert and Harvey, all of Garden City, Kans.
Mr. Mobley's father is living in Colorado, as also four brothers.
Mr. Mobley had been for years a member of the Christian church and had his membership at Garden City when he died.
He was interred in the Fairbury cemetery where his wife and daughter lie.
Funeral services were conducted by R. N. Orrill in Steeles (sic) Chapel on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock.
