Graveside services for Cecil “Ted” Taylor, 77, of Moselle, Mississippi formerly of Rainbow City, who passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2019 will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Lee Family Cemetery . Rev. Bruce Jenkins will officiate. Glencoe Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of the services.
Ted was a member of White Springs Baptist Church as a child and Venture Baptist Church in Mississippi presently. He served many years in the military and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he loved his country. He was an avid Alabama football fan. Ted was a true southern gentleman and a die hard Republican.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia, son, Duane, parents, Cecil and Vera Taylor, brothers; Lee and Robert Taylor, grandmother, Hattie Swindal, and mother of his children Ann.
He is survived by his daughter Sherry Taylor, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers; Jack (Patsy) Taylor, and Kirk Taylor, sisters; Kathy (Joe) Horton and Rinda (Maurice) Hicks and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Lee Family Cemetery c/o of Wayne Copeland 816 Chestnut Street, Gadsden, AL 35901.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
