David Lee Gaddy, 63, of Forest, died Saturday, August 4, 2018.

David was born September 13, 1954 in Lynchburg, Va., a son of the late James E. Gaddy, Sr. and the late Vivian Mae Robey. He was preceded in death by a sister Nancy M. Mayberry.

David is survived by a sister Betty Gaddy of Rustburg; a brother James E. Gaddy, Jr. and wife Nita of Lynchburg; nieces Heather Sweet and her sons Kaleb and Keaton of Raleigh, NC. and Crystal Bartelt, husband Tyler and their children Cooper and Lily of Chesterfield, VA.; and stepson Richard Tolbert and wife Christy of Forest.

David will always be remembered as a good friend and for his love of golf, football, and his dog Lucky.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will follow at 7:00 p.m.
