ABBEVILLE. . .Jamie Barton Motley Martin, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Abbeville, died Sunday morning, March 24, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. She was 88.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ricky Sowell officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.
Jamie Martin was born in Cario, Georgia and was reared in Dawson, Georgia, daughter of the late Tom Barton and Voncile Fowler Barton. She lived in Abbeville most of her adult lifetime. Jamie was formerly employed by the Bank of Abbeville (BankSouth) as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Motley and Bill Martin, a son, Danny Motley, a sister, Judy Nolan and a brother, Tom Barton.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Deborah Motley Loving, Dothan and Panama City Beach, Florida; a sister-in-law, Sandra Barton, Abbeville; nieces, Gina Murphy (Chuck), Milly Tye (Barry) and a special niece, Dell Money (Jeff); a special great-niece, Julia Money and a special great-nephew, Jamie Money.
