Born Sept. 21st, 1956 a.d. Died Nov. 4th, 2014 a.d.
Diane L. Huckleberry Mills was born and, at the age of four, was adopted into the loving family of Vernon and Roseanne Huckleberry. She was raised alongside her adopted brother, Robert, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Diane is preceded in death by her mother, father and 3rd husband, Bobby Mills. She is survived by her brother, Robert, and the following: her two children, Lydia Matthews and James Matthews her eight grandchildren and three greatgrand children.
Among the many things she is fondly remembered for, Diane had a tender heart for Gods creation both people and animals, a great love of music, a fun loving and adventurous sense of humor, a sweet mothers singing voice, beautiful eyes and a cherished spirit.
Diane's life journey stands for us as a proof of Gods spirit of adoption toward us and what that commitment from Him means it challenges us to do as He has done. God loves you and I love you, her Daddy would often say. Diane would likewise comfort her own children with Love you, want you, need you. May our lives demonstrate those expressions.
Her body will be laid to rest in Konawa, Oklahoma beside the grave site of her parents and grandparents. A Life Celebration is scheduled for Ms. Huckleberry Mills at the Hilliard Funeral Home on December the 6th, 2014. The family will provide lunch at Teles Mexican Restaurant on Main Street in downtown Van.
Memorial gifts in her honor, may be made to the Salvation Army or, Lydia has requested to Johnny and Kate Brooks, who have opened an orphanage which has provided many a place to call home and a family, via the following websites:
