Nina Wanette Burrow, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Stillwater on Monday, March 25, 2019 following a lengthy illness. She was born to Harry and Dorthea Benger Green in Clovis, New Mexico on May 10, 1936.

She graduated from Canyon High School in Canyon, Texas. She also attended West Texas State University. She was a trust and tax accountant for many years in Enid, Oklahoma. After moving to Stillwater she was a member of University Heights Baptist Church. She was also a member of the American Businesswomen’s Association, Wheat Capital Chapter and the Don Blanding Poetry Society. Her poem, “Freedom is Fragile, Handle with Prayer” was awarded the George Washington Honor Medal by the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.

Members of her family include her beloved husband of 65 years, David, her daughter, Brenda Spaulding and her husband Craig, her grandchildren, Rebekah Spaulding, Clint Spaulding and his wife Katie and two great-grandchildren, Graham and Vivian and one brother.

Her faith in God and love of country will live beyond her in those lives she touched.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
