Miss Coleman graduated from Ramer High School in 1941. She attended West Tennessee Business College in Jackson for two years and was later employed by the Army Corps of Engineers in Memphis, retiring as Supervisor of the Map Files Department. Bowling was a favorite hobby of Miss Coleman; she participated in numerous leagues and tournaments over a 25 year period, introducing many of her family to the sport. She also enjoyed raising flowers and shrubs and working in her yard. Miss Coleman was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Stantonville church of Christ.
Miss Coleman departed this life on March 26, 2019 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 8 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by two nephews, Harold Bodiford of Memphis and Terrell Coleman and wife Nancy of Selmer; a niece, Ms. Regina Bodiford of Memphis; a great-nephew, Keith Aaron Bodiford of Memphis; a great-niece, Laura Beth Forsyth and husband Adrian of Selmer; and a soon-to-be great-great-nephew, Conner William Forsyth.
In addition to her parents, Miss Coleman was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Mae Bodiford and Dot Coleman; and a brother, Charles Coleman.
