BAMBERG, Jan. 17 - William Golbeck, 73, died late last night at his home in Bamberg following an illness of two weeks. He was born Aug. 17, 1871, on the Hessen Rd. Mr. Golbeck was a retired farmer. He attended St. John's Lutheran Church Hessen Rd.
Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara Reichert; two sons, Henry of Bridgeport and Walter of Kitchener; a daughter, Ida, Mrs. Emil Hohl of Waterloo and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Wilson of Toronto. Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
A public funeral service will be held from his home in Bamberg at 2 o'clock on Sunday followed by a church service at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hessen Rd. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. A Schweitzer of Linwood will be in charge of the service. The remains are resting at the home.
