Stillwater, Minn. - Charlotte Marie (Gardner) Armstrong, 87, formerly of Rock Port, Missouri passed away on March 24, 2019, at a Stillwater hospital.
She was born in Payne, Iowa, on June 11, 1931. She grew up in Hamburg, Iowa and married Gerald "Tiny" Armstrong on Dec. 31, 1948. They lived in northwest Missouri most of their married lives.
Charlotte worked for several years at Wright Nursery in Hamburg. After their children were born, she was a stay-at-home mom, but found time to sell fireworks, grow watermelons, and raise AKC registered dogs and small farm animals.
Following her husband's death in 2011, Charlotte moved to live with her daughter Christy in Minnesota.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Glenn; sister, Georgie Branson; and brother, Suel Gardner.
Survivors include: her children, Gerald "Denny" Armstrong, Lawrence, Kansas, Marcha Armstrong, Tarkio, Missouri, Christy (Dave) Hatcher, Stillwater; and honorary daughter, Mary Eyman, Omaha, Nebraska; former son-in-law, Ron Lotter, Auburn, Nebraska; former daughter-in-law, Wanda Armstrong, Lenexa, Kansas and Anita Armstrong; grandchildren, Tina Reynolds, Margie Armstrong-Harper, Dolly (Kris) Brechin, Beau, Michael, Jacob and David Armstrong, Jeff Lotter (Dawn Niles), Shawn (Nicole) Lotter, Rhonda (Craig) Aue, Lindsey, Miles and Kelsey Hatcher; and numerous great grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. on Saturday, at Linden Christian Church, Rock Port.
Family will greet friends beginning at 2 p.m. at the church.
Interment at Linden Cemetery.
