Betsy Bivins Franks, age 63, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 3:05 a.m. at her residence. Betsy was born October 05, 1946 in Hopkins County, KY to William and Nevelyn Blanchard Bivins. She was an LPN and served in several facilities in the Hopkins County Area. A memorial Service was held Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 1:00 PM, at the United Methodist Church, Davison Springs, KY, minister Rev. E. J. Hatton. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dawson Springs, KY. Survivors inlcude husband, Danny Franks of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters, Stephanie Franks Saldana of Dawson Springs, KY and Melissa Franks Lang of Aurora, IL; three sons, Roy Teague of Dawson Springs, KY, Robin Teague of Germany, and Brent Flanigan of NC; four sisters, Linda Latham Meredith of Aurora, IL, Kathy Hickerson of Dawson Springs, KY, Jan Nickelson of Madisonville, KY, and Tammy Walker of Hopkinsville, KY; three brothers, Woody Latham of Madisonville, KY, Frank Bivins of Hopkinsville, KY and Mark Bivins of Dawson Springs, KY; three grandsons; and one granddaughter. Preceeded in death by her parents; sister, Paula Bivins Jimenez; granddaughter, Elizabeth Teague.
