The death of John Lewis Brunson, 62, 933 Euclid street, Occurred at 8:15 a.m. Sunday in Mary Rutan hospital where he was admitted last Thursday for medical treatment. He was a retired carpenter and had been in ill health a number of years.
Born Nov. 29, 1898, south of Lewistown in Washington township, he was a son of Jonathon L. and Laura A. Large Brunson.
He was married in August, 1921, to Carrie Harvey, who survives with four sons, Charles W. Brunson, Columbus; Paul E. Brunson, Belle Center; John H. Brunson, Brooklyn, N. Y., and James L. Brunson, Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Gene (Laura A.) Thurman, 1116 west Columbus avenue; Mrs. Donald (Mary Kathryn) King, at home while her husband Is with the armed forces in Germany, and Miss Margie Louise Brunson, at home, and 12 grandchildren. Remaining also are four brothers, Roy Brunson, Toledo; Herman Brunson, Lima; Donald Brunson, Marion, Ill., and Harold Brunson, 329 west Chillicothe avenue; a sister. Mrs. Roy Smith, Cherokee, and two half-brothers, Everett Brunson, Sidney, and Earl Brunson at the Logan County Home. One sister is dead.
The deceased was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles here and of the Carpenters' Local Union No. 660, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Kennedy funeral home in charge of Rev. Paul S. Bauders. Burial will be made in the Huntsville cemetery.
