Mrs. Audra Bailey Wood, age 75 of Crockett, formerly of Houston, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the East Texas Medical Center-Crockett. Mrs. Wood was born February 11, 1932 in Flona, Georgia and had lived in Crockett for the past two months, previously living in Houston. Mrs. Wood was retired having worked as a paralegal secretary and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crockett.
Survivors include her daughters Stacy Easterly and husband Jamie, of Crockett, Kelcy Johnson and husband Ladd, of Houston; grandchildren Robert Konstantin, of Houston, Bryan Easterly and Michele Easterly, both of College Station; brothers J. F. Bailey and wife Rubye, of Valdosta, Ga., Arnold Bailey and wife Irene, of Woodland, Ala.; sister Julia Wilson and husband Charlie, of LaGrange, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her parents T. J. and Ruby Bailey; brothers and sisters Ilene Heard, Era Lewis, Mary Watson, Hulitt Bailey, Gene Bailey and Geneva Gregory.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Audra Bailey Wood were held Friday, May 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jerry House officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 984, Crockett, TX. 75835; Flat Rock United Methodist Church in Woodland, Alabama or American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, TX. 75904.
