Jessica (Jessie) Leigh Booth, age 38, of Copper Hill Va. passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018.

Jessie was born in Salem, Va. on October 4, 1980. She was the daughter of Sheri Bain Booth Tuck of Monroe, Va. and Larry Wayne Booth of Salem, Va.

In addition to her parents, Jessie is survived by her stepfather, Randy Tuck; stepbrothers, and their wives, Zac and Missy Tuck, Justin and Julie Tuck; sister-in-law, Sonja Divers; aunts and uncles, Pat Booth Gray, Carolyn Bain, Mark and Lisa Bain, Paul and Denise Bain; nieces, Kathleen Booth and Kayla Abbot; many cousins on both the Bain and Booth sides; and her rescue pup, Stella.

She was predeceased by her brother, Larry (Bug) Wayne Booth Jr.; grandparents, Bryce and Maxie Booth, and Earl and Jane Bain; her namesake great grandmother, Jessie (Nanny) Johnson; and uncles Bill Bain, Henry Booth and Michael Booth.

Jessie attended Staunton River High School and graduated from Ferrum College in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in Art and minoring in Philosophy.

She most recently worked as the office manager for All Star Impressions in Roanoke and previously worked for Frame N Things on Brambleton Avenue in Roanoke. Jessie became an accomplished artist specializing in mixed media work and was well known within the Roanoke Valley art community under the name evolutia.arts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Floyd County Fire Department, Station 1 and Station 3, PO Box 33, Floyd, VA 24091 or Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Av SW, Roanoke, VA 24011.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
