Robert C. Engle, 87, died Sunday, March 24, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 23, 1931 in Starlight, Indiana to the late William M. and Francis (Gesenhues) Engle.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked 23 years at Fall City Brewing and retired from Pillsbury after 13 years of service. He was a member of Voiture 40 & 8 and American Legion Post 42.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Donnie Jones; and siblings, Irma Fosskuhl, Iola Rudy, Lillian Meyers, Wilford Engle, Martha Schroder, Melvin Engle, and Anna Lee Freiberger.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Della (Gravitt) Engle; children, Gail Emmert, Peggy Snook (Bob), Sandy Duffy (Jim), and Karen Jones; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 ~ 8 pm Wednesday will be 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Starlight, Indiana.
