She grew up in Grandfield where she graduated from high school. She married Bill Baker on November 19, 1955 in Grandfield where they made their home. Lynda worked at a registered Dietitian at the Colonial Village for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and reading. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill, of Grandfield, OK; her sons, Ricky Baker and Lewis Baker, both of Grandfield; three daughters and a son in law, Vicky Thompson, Lou Ann and Scott Gardner and Clara Jane Baker, all of Grandfield; two grandsons that she raised, Rocky and Troy Baker; her grandchildren and their spouses, Rocky and Vaughnie, Troy Baker, Raegan and Brian Teakell, Brandon and Josie Baker, Annie Baker and Toby, Dustin and Monica Thompson, and Lynsey Thompson; numerous great grandchildren; her brother in law, Roger Springer; her sister in law, Louise Morton; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Clara Morton; her sister, Neta Springer; two brothers, Richard Morton and Roy Lynn Morton; and her brother in law, J.D. Baker.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church with Chaplain Joe Cook officiating. Burial will be at Grandfield Memorial Cemetery.
