Andrea Maria Rose, 38 of Hawkeye, Iowa died Saturday, March 23, 2019.

She was born on August 17, 1980 to Joyce (Randy Knickerbocker) (Jacobson) and Michael Scott in West Union, Iowa. Andrea was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in West Union. She graduated from North Fayette High School and attended NICC for accounting.

Andrea was united in marriage with Corey Rose on July 22, 2000 at Zion Lutheran Church in West Union.

She worked in Management for Traditions and in Financing at Marine Credit Union in Decorah, IA.

Family came first in Andrea’s life, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, vacationing on sunny beaches, especially in Mexico, and spending time on the Mississippi River. She was a wonderful cook and baker.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Corey Rose of Hawkeye, Iowa; her parents, Joyce ( Randy) Knickerbocker and Michael Scott; sisters, Ashley (Scott) Garetson of Ankeny, Iowa, Rachel (Mike) Hageman of Manchester, Iowa, Suzie O’Brien, and Liza (Eric) Czar; parents-in-law, Merle and Cindy Rose of Fredericksburg, Iowa and Connie and Howard Hughes of Hawkeye, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Angie Treloar of West Union, Iowa and Andrea (Steve) Proxmire of Aurora, Colorado; brothers-in-law, Nick (Allison) Rose of Hawkeye, Iowa and Adam (Julie) Hughes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Ben and Cora Hageman, Drew and Ivy Garetson, Tess and Alex Knickerbocker, Madeleine and Emily O’Brien, Emily Rose-Thompson, Judson Rose, Forrest and Marshall Proxmire, Lexus (Daniel) Nelson, Noah and Brayden Hughes, Emrich and Kariena Nelson; grandmothers-in-law, Betty Rose and Dorothy Bowers; cousins, Jermy Michaels, Nichole Carmen, Jodi Liecktig, Alli Anfinson, Nicholas and Lucas Michaels, Robby and Tashina Jacobson, Penny and Elliot Stendal, Natalie and Valerie Staebell; aunts and uncles, Scott Jacobson, Dale and Donna Jacobson, Randy Bowers, Tom and Kelli (Gaffney) Knickerbocker, and Rick Stendel

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Darlene (Drewes) Jacobson; maternal great-grandparents, Raymond and Helen (Blockhus) Drewes; and paternal grandparents, Michael and Imogene (Brockway) Scott; Aunt Jackie (Staebell) Stendel.

Andrea donated many of her organs, giving the gift of life and healing to many people.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church in West Union, Iowa with Rev. Margaret Yackel-Juleen as the officiant.
Visitation will follow the Celebration of Life until 7:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church in West Union, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Andrea Rose Memorial Fund at Bank First in West Union, IA.
