Vada Arbogast Igo, 90, of Charleston, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 23, 2019 with her family by her side.
She was born in 1929 to the late Noah Gadd and Beatrice Gore Gadd in Summers County, WV. She was a sales clerk at Coile and Richardson as well as Singers Sewing Machine Co. She later retired from CAMC Memorial Hospital as a CNA. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William Jennings Arbogast; second husband, Wilfred Igo; granddaughter, Jessica Carpenter.
Vada is survived by her daughters, Joyce Arbogast Carpenter of Charleston and Patricia Arbogast (William) Horton of North Carolina; grandchildren, Amanda (Tony) Saunders of St. Albans and Hans (Kristen) Schultz of Brunswick, Maine; great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Leland and Hannah; step-grandchildren, Jack, Tom and Owen Arbogast.
A Graveside Service to Honor the Life of Vada will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Family and Friends may visit from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the service, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston.
