John was a 1985 graduate of Kokomo High School. He served with the United States Army earning the rank of Private 1st Class. John worked for Chrysler Corp for 25 years as a machine operator. He enjoyed building and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, along with working on cars. John also enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, guns, listening to alternative music, playing the drums, monster trucks, and spending time with his family.
Along with his wife Patty, John is survived by his parents, John and Marcia Kidwell; sons, Tanner J. (Hannah R.) Kidwell, Mathew D. Kidwell, and Hahns Z. Kidwell; grandson, Kaden Kidwell; brothers, Brian S. (Chasity) Kidwell, and Timothy D. (Christina) Kidwell; grandmother, Edna F. Kidwell, along with several aunts, uncles nieces, and nephews; and his canine companion, ‘Lexi”.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul W. Kidwell, and David E. and Ruth Williams.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Burn for the King Church, 3717 E. 300 S., Kokomo, with Pastor Curtis Matteson officiating. Burial will follow in North Union Cemetery.
