Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Lois Watson, 75, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Joyner pastor of Bellaire Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery.
Eva was born December 6, 1932 in Hineston, LA to Chester and Ruby Brown Merchant. After a lengthy illness, on this 3rd day of October 2008, our beloved wife, mother and MaMaw, Eva Lois Merchant Watson departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior and with loved ones that have arrived before her. There she will await all her loved ones yet to come. Her time on earth was 75 years, 10 months and 27 days and was filled with love and joy that she freely gave and received.
She is preceded in death by one son, Robert Dwayne. She was survived by her husband, Glenn Darward; one son, Glenn Darward, Jr. and wife Nancy; two daughters, Kathy Anita and husband Tim Stephens and Brenda Gayle Watson; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Tim Stephens, TJ Green, Justin Green, Jason Pace, Glenn Watson III, and Nicholas Watson.
