Chester Nelson Miller, Jr. 83, of Cabot, went to meet his Lord and Savior at his home on Saturday, March 23, 2019. He was born, Monday, November 4, 1935 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Chester and Fanchon Miller, he was the oldest of three children. On Halloween night 1958, Chester met the love of his life, Madeline, on 8th and Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. The two married on June 5, 1959. He devoted his life to be the best husband, father, papa and friend he could be to our family and those he met. He was a diehard Cabot Panther and University of Kentucky Wildcat fan. He rarely missed a Panther football game, even when they were on the road. Chester joined the United States Air Force in 1955. He was stationed at Little Rock AFB and then Bunker Hill AFB in Indiana. He served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. He then received orders to McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington before returning to Little Rock AFB where he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. He then devoted the next 27 years of his life working for the United States Postal Service in North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Fanchon Miller, and siblings, Johnny Miller and Fanchon Barron.

Chester is survived by his wife, Madeline; children, Chester N. “Chip” Miller III and wife, Janet of Conway, Candy Miller of Cabot, Keith Miller of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Cody (Sara) Keene, Cory Keene, Christopher (Kayla) Erwin, Jenna Turney and Adison Turney; two great-grandchildren, Flynn Keene and Emory Keene and his beloved dog, Zoe.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, 700 North 2nd Street, Cabot. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27 at his place of worship, Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 30 Mahoney Road, Cabot. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Armstrong and Rev. Kevin Atkinson. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot
