Mary LouAnn Law, 61, of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Private graveside services will be at Heartland Prairie Cemetery in New Cambria. No visitation is scheduled. Services are in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield, 803 Loomis St., in Winfield.

Mary LouAnn was born on April 21, 1956, in Fort Hood, Texas, to Raymond and Marjorie (Elliott) Swartz. She graduated in 1973 from Middleton High School in Charleston, S.C.

Mary and Chris Law married on June 17, 1977, in Charleston. Mary ran a home daycare for 10 years. She graduated from Southwestern College in 1994 and was a high school English and business teacher for 15 years in the South Haven and Arkansas City high schools. Mary loved teaching and received the "Who's Who among America's Teachers Award" twice in her career. She enjoyed learning as much as she did teaching and collected books and loved to study her Bible. Mary attended Cornerstone Bible Fellowship, and she cherished the time that she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Law; children, Leah Hess and husband, Regan, Aaron Law and wife, Rebecca, Esther Law, and Nathan Law and wife, RaeAnn; grandchildren, Dylan, Ayden, Christopher, Donovan, Joshua, Jacob, Solomon, Ivy Ann, Edith, Emerson, Abigail, Elijah and Atticus; and sisters, Sharon Tillett and Jackie Cope.
