Juanita Thomas Hall, 71, of Hoover, Alabama, died unexpectedly on March 8, 2019, while on vacation with family in Jacksonville, Florida.

Nita was born in Sylacauga, Alabama, on January 9, 1948 and was the second of four sisters in a loving family. She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from West End High School where she made cherished friends. In 1967, she married her lifelong companion and moved to Thomasville, Alabama, to raise her daughter. After working various jobs, she retired in 2011, and moved to Hoover, Alabama, to be close to family. She valued spending time with family, traveling, and quilting, having been a member of the Cozy Quilters in Thomasville and the North Jefferson Quilting Guild in Mt. Olive, Alabama. Nita will be remembered as a kind and loving sister, wife, mother, and friend who always brought joy to others' lives.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard H. Hall, Hoover; daughter Kimberly Sperling (Crist), Cleveland, Alabama; granddaughter Claire Clemmons, Jacksonville, Florida; step-granddaughter Sally LaRue (Caleb), Birmingham, Alabama; step-grandson Benjamin Sperling, Birmingham, Alabama; sisters, Beverly Hyche, Jemison, Alabama, Patty Bingham (Herschel), Thorsby, Alabama, Sherri Moehle (JR), Pensacola, Florida; aunt, Julia Stowe, Hoover, Alabama; uncles, C.H. Beaty (Nena), Nashville, Tennessee, Tom Beaty (Kay), Opelika, Alabama; sister-in-law Dixie Hall, Lynn Haven, Florida; brother-in-law John Hall (Rebekah), Thomasville, Alabama; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Evelyn Thomas; and her brothers-in-law, William Penn Hall, Jr. and Ronald Hyche.
