Mrs. Pauline S. Case, 76, of Halcottsville, a former resident of Margaretville, died Wednesday, Aug 29, at Margaretville Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Case was born April 25, 1903, at Roxbury, a daughter of LeGrande and Elizabeth (Cartright) Bouton. She was married to Oscar Case on July 20, 1935, at Middleburgh. He died March 17, 1967. Mrs Case had formerly taught in the rural schools of the towns of Andes and Roxbury. She had also taught in the Roosevelt School in Schenectady, and had been a proofreader for the Hildreth Press, Waterbury, Conn. She was a member of the Halcottsville United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Daughters of the Union Veterans.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Sperling of Halcottsville, and Mrs Hazel McCall of Bristol, Conn., and several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were Saturday. September 1. at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville, with the Rev. Ruth Dunn, pastor of the Roxbury United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Andes Cemetery
