Rebecca Sue Walker, 69, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Friday, March 22, 2019 in Fort Smith. She was a retired having been employed by Ozark Nursing Home for thirty-two years; she was of the Christian Faith. She was born May 27, 1949 in Ozark to Gene and Allie Jetton Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry James Walker; a brother, Steve Shelby; and a sister, Martha Kirkendoll.
She is survived by a son, Larry Walker and wife Donetta of Ozark; daughter Amy Whitson and husband Bill of Paris, Arkansas; two sisters, Rita Smith of Porterville, California, Linda Helton and husband Ron of Charleston, Arkansas; three brothers, David Shelby and wife Rita of Branch, Arkansas, Richard Shelby and wife Vicki of Paragould, Arkansas, and Phillip Shelby and wife Lisa of Fayetteville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Keri Todd, Jeremy Walker, and Cody and Colt Pickartz; nine great grandchildren; and a great niece, Brittany Baker of Ozark.
Memorial visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Cremation arrangements were made under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
