David was an inspirational teacher and dedicated coach. The roles he most cherished were that of husband, father, and grandfather, coaching his sons through life's many lessons both on and off the field, and doting on his grandchildren in a way that only he could. An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed fishing and hunting and later turned his love of nature to beekeeping. He also greatly enjoyed gardening as well as lending his handyman talents to Habitat for Humanity. He had countless dear friends that he continued to hold close through the years. He would want them to know how grateful he was for all the wonderful times that enriched his life and brought him so much joy. David was a man of deep conviction and abiding faith. He will be deeply missed by so many.
