Terry D. Ellis “Popason”, 69, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Pampa. He was born to Junior and Jean Ellis in Pampa on February 17, 1950.
Terry was a lifelong resident of Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School. He worked most of his life in the oil and gas industry for numerous businesses and had recently retired. Terry loved to go camping, especially in the Colorado mountains. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking pork chops, steaks and corn on the cob while on his camping trips. On pretty days, you could either find him on the golf course or riding his Harley without a care in the world. Terry was quite the jokester and loved to be with his family and friends. His sense of humor, wit and contagious laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jolynne Vise and a brother-in-law, Deany Blackmon.
Those left behind to cherish a lifetime of memories are his son, Randall Ellis and wife Jackie of Perrin; daughter, Carrie Hair and husband Dewayne of Pampa; two sisters, Vicki Blackmon of Pampa, Rita Moler and husband Wayne of Pampa; four grandchildren, Jazmyn Hair, Cameron Hair, Morgan Ellis, Claire Ellis; two uncles, Norman Frost of Eldorado, Kansas, Alvin Ward of Riverton, Wyoming and numerous nieces and nephews.
For those that wish to honor Terry through donations, the family suggests that they be made to P.A.W.S at P.O. Box 2095 Pampa, Texas 79065 or to the charity of your choice.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Winegeart Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Hobart Baptist Church with Brother Mike Watson officiating.
