Rudy V. Debord

Rudy V. Debord died peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Paris Regional Hospital , at the age of 84. He was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on May 10, 1923. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Chester Debord; his father, Lawrence Earl Debord and brothers, Billy Jake Debord and Dalby Dale Debord. He is survived by wife, Dorothy Delta Debord, of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Bessie Maud Goldsmith of Birthright, Doris Anita Fennell of Hurst, Mary Ann Klenheinz and husband, Carl, of Wisconsin; Rose Jean Smith and husband, Maynard, of Oklahoma; brother, Chester Earl Debord and wife, Faye, of Ladonia; daughters, Connie Arlene Shaffner and husband, Sam, of Wichita Falls, Sharon Lea Hylton of Oklahoma City; sons, Randy Lynn Debord and wife, Monica of Sugar Land, Paul Debord of Teague, Billy Paul Debord and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones. He called North Liberty Baptist Church home. Our family wishes to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the help so many of you provided to Rudy. Your care for him has comforted him, as well as us. May God bless you and may God bless the soul of Rudy. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., at Mt. Sterling Cemetery.


Creamated; his headstone is in the old part of the cemetery (north of the chapel) and in the 2nd or 3rd row from the east side.
