Karen Jacobs passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2019 at the age of 71. Karen was preceded in death by her loving parents, Vincent and Lucille “Schatzie” Sheahan (nee Jacobs). She is deeply mourned by her siblings Ginger (Brian) Carney, Nancy (Chuck) Parker, Michael (Melinda) Sheahan, and Tim (Susan) Sheahan. Treasured aunt of Sean (Joyce) Carney, James (Rebecca) Carney, Megan (Matt) Rades, Andrew Parker, Corrine Parker Jones, Ryan (Amy) Sheahan, Kelly (Colin) Harrington, Joseph Sheahan, Jamie (Ramon) Alonzo, and Jeffrey Sheahan. Dearest friend of Kandy Perez. She will be missed by her great-nieces and nephews as well as her extended Vogt and Sheahan families and many friends.

Karen was devoted to her family. In many ways she was the “hub” of the family wheel and she delighted in the younger children who called her “Aunt Karen”. She looked forward to giving them each a ride on her BMW motorcycle, which was her great joy.

Karen’s second family was the BMW Riders Association International, for which she was an officer and trustee. Karen was also one of the “Women of Mayhem” riding group. She was happiest when riding with her friends and traveling the USA and the world, especially Austria and Germany. She loved to plot rides all over Wisconsin, picking out twisty roads and byways, some not even on the map. Her friends through the BMW Club were worldwide. We all were astounded when she completed a round-trip motorcycle trip to Alaska- solo!

Karen was retired from the City of Milwaukee Department of Neighborhood Services.

The family thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff of the ICU at Aurora Summit Hospital who cared for her so gently and expertly. They were a great comfort to us as well.
Private services were held per Karen’s wishes. She, along with her dog Calvin, join her parents and ancestors in St. Margaret’s Cemetery, Neenah, Wisconsin. We all will miss her greatly!

If you wish to make a donation in Karen’s name, we suggest Milwaukee PBS Television, the American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.
Bon voyage, Karen. Enjoy the ride!
