Son of Clifford D and Carrie T Mobley. While stationed at Moody Air Force Base, he met and married Marilyn McGrotha, on March 9, 1958. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service. While in service, he began his career in data processing, which he continued for the remainder of his working career. He worked for First State Bank, Park Avenue Bank and as an independent computer consultant until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Grace Community Chapel where he served as deacon and church treasurer. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty McBride, Louise Kent, Mildred Mobley and Carolyn Griffin; and brother, Paul Mobley. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn McGrotha Mobley of Valdosta; sister, Lawanna Balmer of Flowery Branch, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Charles of Cairo; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Michele Ingram Mobley of Roswell; and six grandchildren. As per his wishes, he was cremated and a memorial service was held on March 20, 2015, at Grace Community Chapel, 4513 Bemiss Road, Valdosta, GA.
