Patricia Joann (Holt) Maxfield, age 77, a long-time resident of Rockwall, TX passed away at her home on March 20, 2019.

Pat was born on November 12, 1941 in Leflore County, OK, and grew up in Dallas, TX.

She was preceded in death by parents, Charles Anderson and Sonora Mabel (Fullen) Holt, Jessie and Pernice Ogles Maxfield; Brothers, James William Holt, Jack Thomas Holt, Robert Carl Holt, Richard Allen Maxfield, and Larry Maxfield; Sisters, Emma Jean Parker, Paula Maxfield Gilbert, and Judy Carolyn Neal; Niece, Sue Lynn Johnson; and Grandson Patrick Shane Nunnelley. She is survived by sisters, Mary Helen Johnson and Charlene Walton, Suzie Holcomb; Brothers, Terry Maxfield and Bruce Maxfield.

Pat married the love of her life, Donald Edward Maxfield in 1974. The couple settled in Garland, TX. with their children Debra Wayne-Montez, Teresa Rossi, Kimberly Segale, Marcus Maxfield, June Maxfield Flynn, Donald Maxfield, Jr, and Jeff Maxfield. Later, she was blessed with the additions of Manuel Montez, Don Rossi, Lance Segale, Jennifer Maxfield, Debbie Maxfield, and Tracy Flynn.

Pat was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as a new car Salesman for Sewell Cadillac for many years before retiring. She carved a niche in the market by helping divorced women obtain vehicles and mentoring younger coworkers into advancement in the company. She would make her special recipes for her clients and try to make them feel at home on their visits to Sewell. She thrived on excellent customer service and getting her customers the best deal possible. After retirement, she became the Editor of the Lakeside Village Newspaper.

Pat was an accomplished musician and singer. In her younger years, she attended the Stamps Baxter School of music and her family did all day singings in Oklahoma. She performed at the Big D Jamboree and locally with the Holt trio with her sisters Judy and Charlene. She played the piano and sang solos at church and friends events. Her most favorite event was the Gaither Homecoming and the National Quartet Convention.

Pat was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Pat loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she would spend November and December decorating her home. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. She was an athlete in the community sports and coached her children’s teams.

Pat was known for her wit, wisdom, and good sense of humor. She will be known for her generosity to her family, friends and community. She fought for the underdog and she knew where there was a will, there was a way. She was an efficiency expert, decorator, cook, cancer survivor, loving mother, and grandma. She believed in making a difference in everything you achieve to do. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Pat leaves behind her Grandchildren: Adam Wayne, Jonathan Wayne, Whitney Nunnelley, Jessica Conaway, Terry Bothwell, Dylan Maxfield, Darla Maxfield, Samantha Flynn, Tyler Flynn, Justin and Doniell Maxfield, Ryan and Allison Maxfield, Jessica Maxfield, Carey Griffith, Micah Maxfield, Abby Maxfield, and Truman Maxfield: Great Grandchildren: Addison Wayne, Matthew Wayne, Lillieanna Maxfield, Easton Maxfield, Jack Maxfield, Reed Maxfield, Clayton Henderson, Sydney Henderson, Blaine Griffith, Cheston Griffith, Aubrey Campbell, Gracyn Campbell, Truman Maxfield, Izabell Conaway, Lana Conaway and Bentley Conaway; Nieces, Sharon Booth, Camela Holt, Candice Holt, Ginger Holcomb, Christina Wood, Carissa Maxfield, Missy McCaffrey, and Lindsay Maxfield; Nephews Edward Allen Walton, Jr.; Andrew Thomas Walton, David Eugene Parker, James William Parker, Anthony Alan Johnson, Luke Holcomb, John Holcomb, Randy Gilbert, Russell Wood, Tony Maxfield, Trevor McCaffrey, and Nathan Maxfield; Grand Nephews, E. Allen Walton, III, Brendon Walton, Ryan Walton, Winston Booth, Theodore Booth, Alexander Booth, Justin Johnson, Nash Johnson, Cole Johnson, Joshua Parker, Matthew Parker, Preston Maxfield, Christopher Maxfield, Hunter McCaffrey, Garrett McCaffrey, and Colton McCaffrey; Great Nieces: Jean Rose Parker, Jamie Parker, Regan Leigh Walton, Riley Grace Walton, Caitlin Blanton Walton. Great-great nieces, Peyton Ellen Johnson, Lola Blanton, Lillian Maxfield, Delaney McCaffrey, Grace Maxfield, and Madelyn Maxfield. She left behind a wonderful host of friends of whom were as endeared to her as her own family.

The most notable memory would be the love she shared with her beloved husband Donald Maxfield. Together, they were the most awesome loving team.

Family and friends will gather at the Restland Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, 2019 for Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 25, 2019 at 2:30 p in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
