Darrell went to Union Township and graduated from Eastern High School. He went on to join the Army National Guard and proudly served for 8 years as a cook. He was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, UAW 292 and past president of KOFF (kids over fifty five). Darrell enjoyed golfing, pitching horse shoes, shooting pool, playing cards, bowling, mushroom hunting and playing bingo.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Marsha Campbell; children, Jody (Marie) Campbell, Susan (David) Akers, Chrystal (Bret) Patton, and Justin (Nichole) Campbell; eight grandchildren, and one great- grandchild; and sisters, Darlene Meeks and Mary Weidner.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, June Morris, Jewel Barrett, Wilma Ward; and brother, Gilbert Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Farifield Christian Church, 1476, County Road E. 400 S., Oakford, IN, with Steve Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Converse Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-8 pm Monday at the church. I Hasler & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
