Mark A. Fischer, a retired restaurant cashier, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2012 in Garden Springs Nursing Home of Willow Grove at the age of 55.

Mr. Fisher, a resident of Willow Grove, was employed by Copesvulcan Factory of McKean, Pa., The Erie Times News and Wendy's Fast Food Corporation. He was a former member of Lakewood United Methodist Church of Millcreek, Pa., the Elks Lodge of Erie, Pa. and the Machinists Union.

Born in Erie, Pa. on April 17, 1957, he was the son of Lucille (Amitrone) Fischer of DuBois, Pa. and the late Frank Fischer.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister: Cathy Fischer, of East Norriton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Robert Fischer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 9, 2012 from the Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, Inc. 305 Jefferson St. Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp. Rev. Paul Toms, Pastor, 1st Presbyterian Church of Norristown, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton Twp.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Fischer's viewing on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to either Lakewood United Methodist Church, 3856 W. 10th St. Erie, Pa. 16505, Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Rd.
