Marion I. Rogers, 89, of Rochester, MN, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her home.

Marion was born July 13, 1929 to Ole and Josephine (Wurst) Olson in Eyota, MN. She graduated from Eyota High School.

On November 8, 1947, she married Donald Rogers in Eyota. Donald passed away January 26, 2006. Marion and Donald spent most of their married life in Southeast Rochester.

Marion worked for Dayton’s Department Store for many years.

After their retirement, Marion and Donald enjoyed their cabin on Birch Lake in Hackensack, MN.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Jerry) Bacon of Ft. Myers, Fl and Cheryl (Scott) Van Tries of Rochester; son, Gary Rogers of Rochester; four grandchildren, Roger (Rhiannon) Bacon, Ryan (Andrea) Bacon, Jennifer (Demian Smith) Erickson, and Chris VanTries all of Rochester; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters.

Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Eyota Cemetery at a later date.
