SNYDER, Douglas Noah "Doug" Passed away at Innisfree House hospice, on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the age of 77. Survived by his wife Dorene Rudy-Snyder; his daughters: Julie Snyder-Penner (Russel) and Jane (Karl Kessler); his grandchildren: Vanessa, Saskia, John, and Thomas; his step-daughters: Susan Rudy (Frances), Tricia Rudy, and Sharon Rudy (Jeff); his step-grandchildren: Erin, Julian, Leah, and Chloe; his step-great-grandchild, Leo; his brother Don (Katherine); and his sister-in-law Marilyn. Predeceased by his wife Doreen Ann Snyder (1941-1998); his brother Peter Etril Snyder; his father Etril and his mother Alice. Doug was born and raised in Waterloo, where he also spent most of his adult life, working in managerial positions at MCC Ontario, Conrad Grebel College, and the Peter Etril Snyder Art Gallery. Doug was also a pastor at Erb Street Mennonite Church and St. Agatha Mennonite Church. His family is grateful for a peaceful passing following a life well-lived. Friends are invited to share their memories of Doug with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb Street West, Waterloo on Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held at Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The House of Friendship or Innisfree Hospice..
