PRAIRIETON — Edith Louise Lee, 87, of Prairieton, passed away at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Vigo County to Andrew Huddleston and Cordia Sherera Huddleston. She was employed by the Roots department store for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Lee on Feb. 23, 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Don Lee and wife Johney and Sammy Joe Lee and wife Lori; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; a daughter in law, Benetta Lee. She was also preceded in death by both parents; two sons, Eddie and Jerry Lee; two brothers, William and Ed Huddleston; three sisters, Mary Strain, Norma Clark and Lucille Dykes; and a grandchild, David Lee.

She was a member of Dresser Church.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery.
