FEBRUARY 6, 1958 – MARCH 20, 2019

Anne Scott Wood was born on February 2, 1958, to Ann and Elbert Wood of Houston, Texas.
Anne was baptized as a child at Oaks Presbyterian Church and accepted Christ into her life as an adult. She attended G.C. Scarborough High School in Houston, Texas and graduated in 1977. Upon graduation she attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas and completed her studies at Houston Community College with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine. Anne was employed in Lubbock, Texas as a Nuclear Medicine technician before returning to Houston. Anne was an avid Norte Dame football fan. Yearly, Anne would drive to S. Bend Indiana for a Norte Dame football game. Along the way she would stop in Kansas at Knute Rockne grave and pick some grass. She would take the grass to the game and sprinkle it on the field. Every time she did this Norte Dame won the game. She became a celebrity and met the Head Coach, Bob Davie, and once she had dinner with him. She truly loved Norte Dame football.

Anne Wood departed this life on March 20, 2019 due to complications from pneumonia. She was preceded in death by her father Elbert O. Wood and mother Angelina Enos Wood. She is survived by her two brothers, Matthew (Diane) of Richmond, TX; Mark (Jennifer) of Cypress, TX and sister, Mary Ellen of Katy, TX; nephews, Matthew, Christopher and David and nieces, Elaine, Kristen and Laura, great nieces, Natalie and Emily. Funeral Service are scheduled at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
