William Robert "Bob" Castle passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at The University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born November 15, 1963 in Huntington West Virginia, Bobby was taken from us too soon at the young age of 55 years old.

He is survived by his best friend and wife, Carol Anne Castle.

He is the father to Cory Castle (Morgan) and Hannah Castle. Papaw to Lucy DeWitt, Foxx Castle, and Olivia Kearns.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Douglas Castle; his mother, Gay Elizabeth Meredith Castle; and a sister Deborah Gay Castle.

Also survived by his brother, Kevin Castle (Christy), several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He served as an IT Systems Analyst for Schneider Electric. He is a retired Veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves, where he served on the Honor Guard for Arlington National Cemetery and worked for the National Security Agency.

His entrepreneurial spirit started young when he and his brother Kevin, would open up the family garage and have "yard sales" unbeknownst to their parents. His most recent entrepreneurial endeavor came with the start of Mower Medic. A business endeavor he took great pride in and hoped to continue on into his retirement.

Bobby loved to travel, with his favorite locations being the Caribbean and Las Vegas. He loved to start the morning of his Caribbean vacation with a Blue Hawaiian, floating in the pool. The start of Bobby's love for Las Vegas, began with his 50th Birthday Celebration, where he spent the day skydiving over the Las Vegas desert. He was known to play a mean hand of Black Jack and take a chance on a few slot machines (Buffalo!).

He loved Kentucky Wildcat Football and Basketball. And was a loyal, lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, no matter how bad their season. Bobby had a giving heart that included taking care of his family and neighbors as well as service in Haiti. A part of his heart will always belong to his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Jasper Jones. His love for dogs and big heart lead him to rescue and love many dogs in need.

He was an avid runner, having completed numerous half-marathons and the Marine Corp Marathon, twice. Although the second marathon was done purely out of love for Carol, who wanted to run it with him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28 at Milward-Southland, 391 Southland Drive, Lexington, KY from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Graveside Service with full Military Honors to be held Friday, March 29 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GRRAND, Golden Retriever Rescue and Adoption of Needy Dogs www.grrand.org
