Marian was the D/O John Kent Henry from Muhlenberg Co., KY and Marilyn Maureen Hogan from Minneapolis, MN. Marian was the oldest of 6 kids. She was preceded in death by her brothers Matthew and Mark. No, her other 2 brothers are not named Luke and John. She also has a sister. Marian was married to Scott Nelson but they divorced while their daughter was still a baby.
When Marian's daughter was around 4 months old, Marian was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. The cancer was on the back of her leg and after the surgery left a decent size hole. Luckily Marian beat it and lived almost 30 years longer.
Marian, Debbie S. Smith and I were friends at Lyman H. S. in Longwood, FL., our junior year 67-68. The black and white pic is from Jan. 1968 at Colonial Plaza, Orlando, which no longer exists.
Marian went to Albany, GA for her senior year and after graduation went to Grady Hospital in Atlanta to study X-ray technology. She snuck me in her dorm room for a few days before we went to Daytona for Spring Break. That was also a blast!
After high school we kept in touch a few years and then lost each other. Thanks to the internet I was able to track her down about 1999. Marian was living in Minneapolis with her daughter and mom. Marian had the good sense to get outta the cold and went back to FL. This time she moved to Deltona and spent the rest of her life there.
