Mae graduated from Dalton High School in 1954 and Massillon City Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 as a Registered Nurse.
She married Kenneth Steiner on May 9, 1959. He passed away on October 5, 2015.
Mae enjoyed working many years in OB helping bring many babies into the world. Her last 34 years were at Wooster Community Hospital before retiring in 1999. She was an active member of Dalton Baptist Church. Mae trusted the Lord and was always thankful for how He supplied her needs. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved each one, enjoyed helping them, spending time with them, making goodies that they liked and attending their activities. With her love of children she served in the church nursery for over 30 years, visiting new mothers and giving each new baby a comforter she had made. She was always very thankful for her dear children, grandchildren and many friends. She enjoyed working in her garden, freezing and canning the produce, reading her Bible, listening to hymns, and making comforters and baby quilts.
Mae will be deeply missed by her children Mary Lou (Dan) Moeller of Wooster, Mark (Betty) Steiner of Apple Creek, and Melody (Stephen) Collins of Knoxville, TN.; grandchildren Michael, Peter and Philip Moeller, Sarah (David) Cheramie, Joshua (Joy), Grace, Rachel and Johnathan Steiner, Nathaniel, Aria, Rebecca and Celeste Collins; great-grandsons Andrew and John Cheramie; brother Jim (Norma) Eberly of Jeromesville, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband Ken of 56 happy years, her parents, and her sister Rosalie.
