James Lee Autry, Jr was born December 5, 1960 to union of James Lee Autry, Sr. and Dorothy Thomas Autry in Marshville, North Carolina. He was affectionately called Junior from an early age and throughout his life by his family and friends.
Junior accepted Christ as his Savior at Chambers Grove Baptist Church in Marshville, North Carolina at an early age. He received his formal education in the Union County Public School System, elementary school at East Union in Marshville, North Carolina and graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1979, Marshville, North Carolina.
Upon graduation Junior enlisted into the United States Marines Corps in 1980. He proudly served and was honorably discharged of meritorious service to his country in 1983. He worked many years in various manufacturing positions until health declined.
In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and playing spades. James was united in holy matrimony with the former Fronzena Sorrell Belton on June 7, 1986 in Union County, North Carolina. Together they shared 32 and one half years together. From this union they was blessed with two children.
James Lee Autry, Jr. departed this life at the Union County Hospice in Monroe, North Carolina on March 19, 2019 at 10:07 AM, surrounded by angels to gently lead him home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Thomas Autry
