Leanora M. Fountain, 84, of Lebanon died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Albany, the daughter of Ernest and Iris (Fitzwater) Christ. Leanora graduated from Lebanon High School in 1940 and married Carl Fountain on Feb. 2, 1946, in Vancouver, Wash. The couple resided in Independence before settling in Lebanon in 1950.
Leanora began her banking career with First National Bank and worked in the banking industry until retiring as manager at Washington Mutual Bank.
She was an active member of Fairview Community Church of God, where she had kept the church books for over 50 years. Leanora enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events and reading.
She is survived by sons James Fountain of Denver, Colo., and Don Fountain of Lebanon; daughters Carolyn Vandiver, Kathy Buchanan and Donna Bengar, all of Lebanon; brother Kenneth Christ of Lebanon; sisters Lucille Christ of Albany and Lucinda Grace of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Carl in 1998 and brother Arland Christ.
A memorial service will be Friday at the Fairview Community Church of God. Private burial will be at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
