Mary Jean Sova, 93, of Howell, formerly of Cheboygan, died on Friday, June 9, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15 at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, IL. Mary was born on Feb. 18, 1924 in Detroit, the daughter of James and Olive (Wilsey) Jarvis. She was a veteran of the W.A.C. Mary worked as a LPN.

Mary is survived by her children, Paul and Shirley Sova, Mona and Doug Smith, Rodney and Claudia Sova, Michael Sova, Chris and Mary Sova, Johnel and Christina Sova, Jan and Ken Andrews, Mary Jo and Jeffrey Hedquist; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnel in 1978 and children, Judy Ann Warner and Kim Francis Sova.
