Mr. Spears was born on February 5, 1934 in Harahan, LA. He was the son of June B. Spears and Nova Gill Spears Ott
James and Sue were married for 64 years and raised their family in Osyka. James was a retired boilermaker who earned the nickname "Lefty" early in life. In his younger years he enjoyed pool, baseball, fishing, cards, and anything that involved his family. James shared a part of his heart with many and was respected and admired by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His family will always treasure his card tricks, quizzing of state capitals, and the standard of perfection that he held everything up to in his life.
